The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is a big-screen Android phone that has everything you could ever require and more.

You will get a dynamic 6.8-inch display and dual telephoto lenses for insane zoom capacity for $1,199, which is $100 more than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. In addition, the S21 Ultra is the first Galaxy S device to support the S Pen.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra has a more streamlined architecture and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor provides faster efficiency. You won't have to make nearly as many compromises as you will with the standard Galaxy S21. A better main 108MP camera, a glass back rather than plastic, more RAM, and a higher-resolution display are all included.

Although, there are some drawbacks, such as the lack of a charger in the package. However, for those willing to pay a premium, this is one of the best phones money can buy, as well as one of the top Android phones available.

Price

The Ultra has 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and costs $1,199. You can also get a model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, as well as a model with 256GB of storage. The 256GB model costs $1,249, which is $50 more than the 512GB model, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra with 512GB capacity costs $1,379, which is $50 more.

Display

The Galaxy S21 Ultra's 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display is clearly one of the best on a tablet. It's vivid, colourful, and unlike its predecessor, it doesn't force you to choose between the highest resolution and the highest refresh rate. While binge watching Netflix, the colours are as vibrant as ever, and the picture quality is wide. The Ultra, on the other hand, outperforms the iPhone in terms of dynamic refresh rate. You now get 120Hz and quad HD resolution at the same time, in addition to super smooth scrolling and gameplay.

Samsung claims that the S21 Ultra has a contrast ratio of 3 million:1, which is 50% higher than the S20 Ultra. There's also an Eye Comfort Shield feature that limits blue light to minimise eye strain.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is a one-of-a-kind device. Since the curve cut camera design blends the camera bump into the glass back, this is still a large device that requires two hands to operate. The S21 Ultra is thicker and heavier than the iPhone 12 Pro Max, with a 0.35-inch profile and a weight of 8.08 ounces. The display is softly curved, as opposed to the entirely flat standard Galaxy S21, but not to the point of being distracting. Carriers offer the Galaxy S21 Ultra in just two colours: Phantom Black and Phantom Silver.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is one of the first phones to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor, which is paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM.4k video editing is buttery smooth as it can render as fast as 1 minute for really long videos. Gaming and multitasking are pretty damn good.

Camera

In comparison to the S21 and S21 Plus, the Galaxy S21 Ultra's cameras stand out the most. A key 108MP wide sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor are combined with a laser auto focus sensor. When you zoom in on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, you'll feel like a secret agent. While the iPhone 12 Pro Max only has a 2.5x optical zoom, the S21 Ultra has two 3x and 10x optical zoom telephoto lenses. The 108MP main camera can take 12-bit HDR images with 64 times more colour data and three times the dynamic range of the S20 Ultra. In Pro mode, there's also a 12-bit RAW file option.

Battery life

This is the phone for you if you need anything to last all day. The S21 Ultra's 5,000 mAh battery lasted 11 hours and 25 minutes while browsing the web over 5G. That beats the iPhone 12 Pro Max's time of 10:53, putting the Ultra at the top of our list of best phone battery life.

Note that this time was measured with the standard 60Hz display mode enabled, and that with adaptive mode (up to 120Hz) enabled, battery life will be reduced. We saw a runtime of 10 hours and 7 minutes in this mode.

Accessories

The biggest disappointment is the lack of a charger in the pack. Yes, it's the environmentally friendly thing to do, but if you haven't purchased a phone in the last couple of years and don't have USB-C, it'll cost you more money.

The S21 Ultra is the first Galaxy S computer to support the S Pen, thanks to a Wacom digitizer integrated into the display. You can draw, sketch, and take notes with the S Pen, which is optional, just like on the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. It can also be used to easily sign papers.

Bear in mind that the S Pen is sold separately, and if you want to store the stylus on the go when it's not in use, you'll need to invest in a compatible case. For $69.99, Samsung offers a Silicone Cover with S Pen.

Should you buy or not?

With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung has nearly mastered the big-screen phone. The monitor is top-of-the-line, the cameras have been upgraded, and you can even use it as a Galaxy Note if you want to.Overall, it’s the best Android phone you could buy right now, barring the OnePlus 9 Pro.Although if you are an iPhone lover with the same specifications, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the one for you. But if you are a camera lover as well as an Android user, S21 ultra is your phone.

Hope you found value,
