At last, here it is. The new iPad Pro, with the legendary M1 chip and a Liquid Retina XDR Display in the 12.9-inch model. This transition from Apple’s Turbo-charged A-Series chips to the desktop-level M1 chip is huge. Apple announced the release of the iPad Pro M1 in their April Spring Event. The iPad Pro has maintained the same size as it’s predecessor, despite the M1 , shows the power efficiency of the processor. We have already seen how the M1 has revolutionized the Macs. We saw the power, efficiency and performance of Macs, especially the MacBook Air, drastically change, because of the M1. Now with M1 in iPad, Apple has developed iPadOS to work along with the M1 chip. The power and performance of the iPad Pro will surely be mindblowing.
Price and Availability
The iPad Pro comes in two models - the 11-inch model, which starts at $799 for Wi-Fi only and the Cellular model starting at $999. Also, the 12.9-inch with the Liquid Retina XDR Display, starts at $1099 for the Wi-Fi only and $1299 for Cellular. You can configure your storage all the way up to 2 TB. This is an amazing price considering the display and the M1. You can expect your money’s worth.
Apple opened the ordering for iPad Pro on April 30 and it’s said to be shipped in the second half of May, so we can expect it any time soon.
Display
According to Apple, iPad Pro has the world’s most advanced mobile display. On the 11-inch iPad Pro, the Liquid Retina display offers approximately 4 million pixels. Users appreciate being able to take the most versatile iPad experience with them everywhere they go in a lightweight one-pound, sleek design. It offers an incredible 5.6 million pixels on the immersive 12.9-inch iPad Pro. This is for those who need the most space for their creativity. Also, the 12.9-inch display is truly remarkable with a stunning Liquid Retina XDR Display.
The Liquid Retina XDR Display has up to 1000 nits of brightness, a staggering 1600 nits of peak brightness and a phenomenal 1,000,000 : 1 contrast ratio. All of the display features of the Pro Display XDR in this ultra thin, sleek iPad design. That’s just mindblowing!
For Apple to bring the display of Pro Display XDR to the iPad, they had to replace the 72 LEDs with 10,000 of the newly developed Mini-LEDs in that 12.9-inch display. These Mini-LEDs are categorized into 2500 local-dimming zones, which adjusts the brightness precisely in each zone, according to the content displayed. How cool is that?. A series of extremely thin, custom-designed optical films and diffusers then form the light. Which is why this display fits into a design that's just 6.4 millimetres thick, weights just 1.5 pounds, and has an all-day battery life. As a result, HDR video with the finest Specular highlights, such as galaxies and star fields, is more lifelike than ever before.
This is without a doubt, the best mobile display ever made.
Ports and Connectivity
The M1 gives the iPad Pro significantly faster connectivity. With Thunderbolt, there is 4 times more bandwidth for wired connections, up to 40 gigabits per second.Thunderbolt also enables a vast ecosystem of high-performance accessories, including ultra-fast storage, external displays, such as the Pro Monitor XDR, which is now available in full 6K resolution, and all of this is connected via high-performance cables and docks. So many more workflows are now accessible with the iPad Pro.
In cellular models 5G is accessible.Even the millimeter wave is accessible in the USA.In perfect conditions, the iPad Pro can achieve peak download speeds of up to 4 gigabits per second with this model.

Performance
The performance of iPad Pro has skyrocketed compared to previous models, thanks to the M1 chip. This is a 50 percent increase in performance for iPad. According to Apple, this iPad Pro is 75 times faster than it’s first generation. The 8-core GPU is in a class of its own delivering up to 40 percent faster graphics performance. Performing 4k video rendering in Premiere Pro, adding complex effects to video in LumaFusion, converting a picture to an oil painting in Photoshop and running numerous lines of code in Xcode is just buttery smooth, thanks to M1.
You can also enjoy the new games at ultra-high frame rates with console-quality graphics. This sheer output, combined with the iPad Pro's ProMotion display, four speakers, and support for the new PlayStation or Xbox game controllers with motion control, makes gaming on the iPad Pro a blast.
Another thing to note is that, despite the M1, Apple has kept the uniform iPad Pro battery life of 10 hours, the same in this model too.

Camera and Scanners
With the LIDAR Scanner, taking photos on the iPad are simply on another level. They clear the way for entirely new workloads, such as motion tracking with CamTrackAR.With M1's more efficient ISP, we get Smart HDR 3, which combines the ISP and the Neural Engine to change colour, contrast, and noise in different sections of a frame. In low-light situations, the ISP and LiDAR Scanner focus images and videos rapidly and reliably, capturing amazing specifics with almost no light.
On it's front, the TrueDepth camera unlocks iPad with Face ID effortlessly and safely, as well as takes portrait selfies that look fantastic on the big monitor. It now includes a new, Ultra-Wide camera, which is designed specifically for iPad. It also has a 12-megapixel sensor.
They also include a new feature - Centre Stage. This recognizes the person in video calls and moves
around automatically to keep the person in centre, with the help of the TrueDepth camera and Machine Learning.

iPad Pro is all about it’s accessories. You can easily pair up your iPad with the Magic Keyboard, turning your iPad into a portable computer. You can also consider the Smart Folio Touch as your keyboard. The typing experience on the Magic keyboard is simply amazing. For creative users, Apple Pencil 2 helps draw flamboyant brush strokes and also to take notes in class, for students.

The entire structure is made entirely of recycled aluminium and also 100 percent recycled Tin. The magnets in the speakers and enclosure are made entirely of recycled rare earth materials. A long list of hazardous chemicals, such as Beryllium, Arsenic, PVC, and Mercury, are absent from the iPad Pro.
