The iPhone 12 Pro Max is the largest iPhone ever made, owing to it’s 6.7-inch display and bigger battery life.It has the bigger camera sensor in any iPhone. The 12 Pro Max also has 5G, like it’s other companions - the iPhone 12 series.

Price and design

It's not really that much more costly than the smaller iPhone 12 Pro: it's only $100 more at every storage level, beginning at $1,099 for 128GB and moving up to $1,399 for 512GB. You get a bigger display, a larger battery, and a very unique camera system for that money. If you can live with the scale, it's definitely worth it over the regular 12 Pro — but it's a lot of size. And there's a lot going on with the camera, so it's worth digging into.

The 12 Pro Max is just slightly bigger and heavier than the 11 Pro Max, but the design which included flat sides, make the phone feel a bit huge. While the size is not a problem for most people, for some people it does matter. So, considering the size before buying, is a good idea.Though, the size does matter if you are an artist or if you are more of the creative type. The size also comes to advantage if you are watching a movie.

Camera and sensors

Apart from from its large size, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is distinguished from the rest of the iPhone 12 line by its camera setup, which is significantly different and more powerful than the cameras on the smaller 12 and 12 Pro models.

The ultrawide camera on the 12 and 12 Pro is identical to the ultrawide on the 11 Pro, and it's a significant upgrade. While having an ultrawide lens is extremely convenient, it still produces images of average quality when compared to the primary camera.

On the 12 Pro Max, the main wide camera and the telephoto camera are very different. The wide does have the same f/1.6 lens as the 12 and 12 Pro, but also has a 47 percent larger physical sensor, which allows it to absorb more light with less noise. The big camera is also focused differently than the rest of the iPhone 12 series, which use conventional lens-based optical image stabilisation to minimise vibrations, which results in less blurring.

Sensor-shift stabilisation is used on the 12 Pro Max to minimise movements by moving the sensor itself around. Apple claims that the switch to sensor-shift stabilisation on the 12 Pro Max was motivated by a desire to ensure that this sensor size met Apple's expectations rather than overall efficiency, but that the device on the 12 Pro Max is marginally more efficient at minimising a broader range of vibrations than the OIS on the 12 Pro.

In addition, the larger sensor has a high maximum ISO, which is a measure of light sensitivity. The top ISO on the iPhone 11 Pro was 3,072, the standard iPhone 12 Pro was 5,808, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max was 7,616.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max has revolutionized the feel of smartphone cameras with the features like Night mode. The iPhone 12 lineup's Night mode has been improved: the iPhone 11's Night mode shots were created by combining frames with a one-second maximum exposure time, but the iPhone 12 lineup can capture two-second stabilised frames, resulting in better shadows and less noise. If the phone detects that it is on a tripod, it will disable image stabilisation and capture three-second frames, for a total of ten three-second frames in a maximum 30-second night mode clip. Thirty one-second frames will be taken by the iPhone 11.Apple has delivered their promise of quality to their customers yet again.

Display

Apart from the cameras, the iPhone 12 Pro Max shares a lot of similarities with the iPhone 12 Pro. Although the monitor is obviously larger, it is just as bright and vibrant, and the pixel density is almost identical. By default, there isn't any more detail shown on the big screen. That's a shame, because this thing is starting to resemble a tablet in terms of size, and I'd like to see Apple encourage app developers to make better use of all this space.

Unfortunately, the iPhone 12 Pro Max only has a 60Hz refresh rate, while almost every Android phone over $600 now has a 120Hz refresh rate. On the regular 12, this may have been acceptable, but on the 12 Pro, and particularly the Pro Max, — it's the most expensive iPhone with the largest battery, and the display shouldn't be a scintilla behind the competition. Not complaining.

Battery life and Accessories

The iPhone 12 Pro Max has the largest battery ever in an iPhone. As a result, it has the longest battery life ever in an iPhone.Apple claims that it has upto 20 hours of video and upto 12 hours of streamed video. In real life, this becomes upto 18 hours of video and almost upto 10 ½ hours of streamed video, which is impressive.

Apple has made MagSafe Accessories available to the iPhone 12 series. It’s really attractive to mix n’ match your phone with the MagSafe covers and pouches. The iPhone 12 Pro series is available in the colors Gold, Silver, Graphite and Pacific Blue.

The base model of the 12 Pro Max is available for $1099 with 128 gigabytes of storage. You can buy your iPhone with an activated SIM card, the options being AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.You can get offers and discounts if you choose this option. You can also buy an unlocked phone and activate it later.

Another thing to notice is that Apple doesn’t provide you with an adapter in the box.You are required to buy them separately. This is due to Apple’s plans of becoming completely Carbon-neutral by 2030.

Kudos to Apple for being environmentally aware.

Should you buy or not?

So, should you buy the iPhone 12 Pro Max? If you are a fan of big phones or if you have big hands, then it is definitely your choice. If you are an Apple fan or a regular iPhone user, and you want the benefits of an iPhone, I would recommend an iPhone 12 or 12 mini.If you are more of an Android guy, then the Samsung S21 Ultra is your best pick.I recommend this phone to creative guys, filmmakers, video editors, and of course die-hard Apple fans. However, if you have the money and the passion, Why not?

Hope you found value,
